Peter B. Geittmann, MDDr. Peter B. Geittmann

Peter Geittmann received his BS degree from the University of Wisconsin, and during his first semester of graduate school, was drafted into the army.  He became a cytotechnology instructor at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio and was then accepted at Northwestern University Medical School, received his MD degree, and after a six month preceptorship in gynecologic oncology, completed his residency at Northwestern's Prentice Women's Hospital in 1981. 

Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr Geittmann is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and has been a member of the American Medical Association, Illinois State Medical Society, Chicago Medical Society, American Fertility Society, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, Chicago Gynecological Society, and has been a clinical instructor at Northwestern University Medical School.  His gynecologic expertise includes laparoscopy, pelviscopy, infertility, urinary incontinence, and menopause. With a special interest in high-risk obstetrics including diabetes and hypertension, he is committed to vigilant and compassionate care for the pregnant woman.

Dr. Geittmann and his wife, Margie, enjoy bridge, sailing, playing golf, and spending weekends and holidays with their grandchildren.  They have dedicated themselves to the Little Sisters of the Poor and the St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly.
